PawDoc Terms of Use & User Agreement

These terms are a binding agreement between you and PawDoc ("we", "the app"). By downloading, installing, or using PawDoc you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What PawDoc is — and is not

PawDoc provides AI-generated, general informational guidance about pet symptoms, plus reference content (first aid steps, toxic item lists, vaccine schedules, vital ranges) and record-keeping tools.

PawDoc is NOT a veterinary service. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe; it is not a substitute for examination by a licensed veterinarian; and no veterinarian-client-patient relationship is created by using the app.

2. Your responsibility — assumption of risk

All decisions about your pet's care are yours alone. By using PawDoc you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI assessments and reference content can be wrong, incomplete, or inapplicable to your specific animal.
  • You will use the app's output as one input among others — never as a replacement for professional judgment.
  • You assume full responsibility and all risk for any action you take (or do not take) based on information shown in the app, including delays in seeking veterinary care.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (species, weight, symptoms, photos); inaccurate input produces unreliable output.
  • The first-aid and toxicity reference content is general information; what is safe for one animal may be dangerous for another.

    • 3. Emergencies

    If your pet is in distress — difficulty breathing, collapse, seizures, suspected poisoning, severe bleeding, or anything that feels urgent — contact a licensed veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately. Do not wait for, or rely on, the app.

    4. Subscriptions & billing

  • PawDoc offers auto-renewing subscriptions ("PawDoc Plus") billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment details.
  • Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your store account settings.
  • Free trials, prices, and free-tier limits may change; changes never apply retroactively to an active billing period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies; we cannot issue them directly.

    • 5. Acceptable use

    You agree not to: abuse the service with automated requests; attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures; reverse engineer the app or server; submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; or use the app for animals in commercial medical settings as a diagnostic device.

    6. Intellectual property

    The app, its design, content, and branding belong to PawDoc. Your data (pet profiles, records, photos) remains yours; it is stored on your device and we claim no rights to it.

    7. Disclaimer of warranties

    The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. AI services depend on third-party providers and connectivity; outages can happen.

    8. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PawDoc and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including harm to animals, veterinary costs, or losses resulting from reliance on app content. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

    Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.

    9. Indemnification

    You agree to hold PawDoc harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the app or violation of these terms.

    10. Termination

    You may stop using the app at any time; deleting it removes your local data. We may suspend service to users who violate these terms (for example, abusing usage limits).

    11. Changes

    We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be noted in release notes; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

    12. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
