PawDoc Privacy Policy
_Last updated: June 10, 2026_
PawDoc ("we", "the app") helps pet owners understand how urgent their pet's symptoms may be. This policy explains what data we handle and how.
What we collect
Pet profiles, health records, and check history are stored only on your device. We do not run user accounts and we cannot see this data.
Symptom descriptions and optional photos that you submit for an AI check are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis, and are not stored by our server. We log only technical metadata (timestamps, response status, truncated anonymous device id) — never your text or photos.
An anonymous device identifier (a random ID generated on first launch) is sent with AI checks so we can enforce free-tier limits. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account.
Subscription status is processed by RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play. We receive only an anonymous subscriber id and entitlement status — never your payment details.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or location.
We do not use your photos or descriptions to train AI models.
Data retention
AI check inputs are processed transiently and not retained on our server. Your local data stays on your device until you delete it (Settings → Delete all data) or uninstall the app.
Medical disclaimer
